How to increase the font size on iphone

Please note: Increasing the font size may cause problems and affect displaying various elements in some applications.

It is quite easy to increase the font size in iOS operating system as it is dynamic. Such a font is used in most applications from reputable developers. At the same time, it is worth noting that increasing the font size will not increase the font in a number of places:

  • For desktop icons, the font will remain the same;
  • In the browser on the pages of all websites – this font does not depend on the font that is installed at the system level;
  • In most games.

Important note: Some games and applications have their own settings to increase the size of the font or interaction elements.

To increase the font size in iOS, you need to go to “Settings” and then go to the “Display & Brightness” section.

Here go to the “Text Size” section.

By default, the text size slider is set to the middle of the available dynamic font options. That is, if you wish, you can easily increase the font or – in the opposite – reduce it. To increase the font, drag the slider to the right.

Please note: You can watch the font size changing in real time, thereby determining the optimal size for yourself.

When the font is set to the required level, you can exit the settings.

It should be noted that even if the elements on the screen are not readable even with an enlarged font, you can turn on the “Bold” option in the “Screen and Brightness” section, which will make dynamic fonts even more massive.

How to increase the font size in mac os

In Mac OS things are not the same clear as in iOS. For Mac OS computers that have Retina resolution, that is, current MacBook models, you can adjust the scaling, which directly affects the size of the font and elements throughout the system. To do this, in the upper left corner, click on the apple icon and go to the “System Preferences” section.

Next, select the “Displays” section.

There are several options in the “Resolution” section. To make the font as large as possible, you need to select the “Larger Text” option.

Please note: If the resolution on your Mac is not Retina, then in the monitor settings you need to select the “Scaling” option and set a smaller resolution – this will result in a larger font.

Another way to increase the font in Mac OS is to change it in a specific application or for individual interface elements. For example, to increase the font of the icons on the desktop, go to the desktop, and then in the top menu click “View” – “Show View Options”.

Settings will open and here you can set the text size.

Please note: If necessary, you can also change the icon size.

It is also possible to increase the size of the elements on the system side panels. This should be done through the system settings. You need to select the “General” section.

And then set the “Icons” size by selecting the “Large” option from the drop-down menu.

Some applications, both system and third-party ones, have their own settings to increase the font size, for example, browsers.
