How to find iPhone using Apple Watch

A smartphone is much easier to lose than a watch that is always on your wrist. Your iPhone can be easily left in another room, in the kitchen, in the bathroom. To find it you can try and make a call from another phone. But often times in a case like this it is way more convenient to use Apple Watch. There are two ways to find your iPhone with Apple’s smartwatch.

Sound search for your iPhone using Apple Watch

To hear a sound from an iPhone paired with an Apple Watch, just click on the corresponding icon in the Watch Dock. To do this, swipe up to bring the Apple Watch Dock-panel. Here, click on the icon with a vibrating phone and your iPhone will immediately beep.

Please note: The Apple Watch finding iPhone feature only works when the smartphone is “in line of sight” of the said watch. In addition, if the smartphone is not charged, it will not beep.

Find your iPhone in the dark using Apple Watch

Another important feature on the Apple Watch is finding your iPhone in the dark. This can be useful, for example, if you have forgotten your smartphone in the yard area and cannot find it, or if you have lost it in a dark room. Finding an iPhone with the light signal is much easier than with the sound.

Please note: The light signal is emitted by the smartphone flash. Accordingly, if it lies with a flash down, then the brightness of this signal will be very low.

In order for the iPhone to give not only a sound, but also a light signal, you need to call the Dock-panel on the Apple Watch by swiping the screen up, and then hold down the vibrating phone icon.

The smartphone will emit not only a sound signal, but also blink a flash several times.
