How to make a screenshot on Apple Watch

Taking screenshots is a useful feature that is (among other things) implemented in Apple Watch. Sometimes you may need to take a screenshot of your daily fitness progress, time, or save other information in a photo that is displayed on the Apple Watch. Taking a screenshot on a smart watch is no more difficult than on any other mobile device, but you need to set up your iPhone correctly.

Setting up your iPhone to create screenshots on Apple Watch

To take a screenshot on the Apple Watch, first of all you need to make sure that the iPhone your Apple Watch is connected to is set up correctly. Go to the Watch app on your iPhone and go to the “General” section.

Scroll down the list of available settings and activate the switch under “Enable Screenshots”.

Please note: Initially the function of taking screenshots on Apple Watch is disabled by default.

After the setup on your iPhone is complete, you can move on to the watch itself. To take a screenshot of the screen on the watch, you must simultaneously press two main keys on the device – the Digital Crown and the button below it.

Please note: When you take a screenshot, there is going to be a “flash” on the screen, the watch itself will vibrate for a short time and you will hear the corresponding sound of taking a screenshot, just like on an iPhone.

Where are the Apple Watch screenshots stored

When the screenshot is taken, it is automatically saved to the iPhone in the camera roll. You can view all screenshots if you launch the “Library” application on your smartphone and then go to the “Screenshots” section in the albums.

Here, along with other screenshots from the iPhone, you will be able to find your screenshots from the Apple Watch.
